Forbidden: Basic Human Rights Denied Under Guardianship

When a person commits heinous crimes, it should come as no surprise when a criminal court sentences them and they lose many of their rights. However, when a person is injured in an accident, develops an impairment, or simply grows older, they too can lose many, even most, of their basic human rights under a probate court. Guardianship Abuse Playbook – Retaliation Against Those Who Dare to Speak Up

Imagine a situation in which someone you love is abducted. You may or may not know where they are, but you are powerless to free them. The captor takes their money by getting into their bank account and investments, changing insurance policies and trusts to the benefit of the captor. The captor drugs the loved one into oblivion and forbids them to have contact with friends or family members.
If all this was done by a masked thug, law enforcement would jump into action, and the person reporting such a crime might even be hailed a hero.
However, if the perpetrator of such actions does so through manipulation of the probate or civil court system, it is business as usual. No one bats an eye if the victim is declared by the court to be an “incapacitated person” in need of a guardian, whether the allegation is true or not.
Worse, there is often swift retaliation against anyone speaking up for these hidden victims of guardianship abuse. Such bullying tactics are so common that they are considered to be part of the standard “playbook” used by the perpetrators of guardianship abuse through local probate courts. Join Us for the Family Restoration Conference in Birmingham, Alabama Oct. 5

Great speakers from within the family rights movement will converge upon the city of Birmingham, Alabama, this weekend to cover what may well be the greatest civil rights issue of our day that few are talking about – that of American families being separated from each other under the color of law.
On October 5, 2019, Real News Spark and the Family Forward Project will bring together speakers who are advocates and warriors on the front lines of these battles for families. These speakers will discuss issues impacting our families today, such as Child Protective Services, medical kidnapping, judicial accountability, shared parenting, and Guardianship abuse of senior citizens.
The realities that we see happening are obviously not God’s design for families. Family was the Creator’s idea and is the basic building block of society.
